Hike to Cala Mariolu, a paradise in Sardinia.
Widely known as Cala Mariolu, shepherds from Baunei called it Ispuligedenie, because they thought the tiny white pebbles of its sand were like “fleas of snow”.
The trail starts from loc. Piredda, in the plateau of Golgo and is about 6 km long (about 3 hours). In the first part, it climbs gradually, then it crosses the ridge of Serr’e Lattone and it goes down to the cove, at a 500 metres gradient.
Extraordinary experience that involves some of the most important landmarks of the area, of the culture and typical architecture of baunei: some shepherds’ huts, the famous Scalones (juniper ladders built by old-time shepherds) and spectacular arches of rock.
