Guided hike to Cala Goloritzè

The first “cala” in Baunei to become famous among hikers and the first one where hundreds of them go every day.

Since 1993, it’s a Natural Monument declared by Regione Sardegna, for this reason you can only get there walking…or swimming!

Hike description

The trail leaves from Golgo plateau and goes down gradually to the sea. It’s about 3,5 km long and the gradient is 400 metres.

Our guided hike follows a variant of the classic downhill path, passing through the sheepfolds of Assas altas and the wonderful terrace overlooking the cove, in Punta Salinas. Getting back to the plateau will follow the classic path.

Hiking time is aboout 3 hours going down, 1h30min/2 hours going back up.

Difficulty of the hike to Cala Goloritzè: trail without major technical difficulties (E)

Important information

Even if this hike is very famous and all kind of hikers do it, even the beginners, it’s still a mountain trail, so hiking shoes are recommended. Good sport shoes should be ok if you forgot your hiking shoes at home.

Don’t forget your packed lunch, enough water and of course, your swimsuit!

Since a couple of years, the beach can be reachd by a limited number of people every day,  so it’s necessary to book your spot on the beach: by choosing the guided excursion, we will take care of the booking then hikers will be able to pay the municipal ticket (not included in the excursion) on site, at the trailhead.
